Dr. Francesco Guerrera, thoracic surgeon at the Città della Salute e della Scienza in Turin and professor at the University of Turin, holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences from the University and the Polytechnic of Turin. His clinical and research work focuses on integrated therapies in NSCLC, thymic neoplasms, extended reality and simulation in thoracic surgery, NIR fluorescence imaging, and spontaneous ventilation. He is a member of the IASLC Staging and Prognostic Factors Committee and has received numerous international awards, including the European Young Investigator Award and the Vogt-Moykopf Lecture. Author of over 190 scientific publications, he serves as Academic Editor for PLOS One and reviewer for several international journals.
